Russia-based Sberbank, one of the largest banks in Eastern Europe, announced that it will participate in the worldwide artificial intelligence race with its own chatbot. The artificial intelligence supported chat bot of the bank, which has increased its technology investments in recent years, will aim to rival ChatGPT.
The name of the chat bot was determined as ‘GigaChat’, similar to the character ‘Gigachad’, which has been a mime on the internet for a long time. In the first place, the test phase of GigaChat, which can only be joined by invitation, will take place.
So what sets this chatbot apart from ChatGPT?
No technical details have been shared about the chatbot yet. Although information such as which language model it will use and how many parameters it will feed from is not known, only one detail has been given. According to the bank’s statement, GigaChat will communicate with the Russian people in a more “intelligent” way, unlike foreign bots.
Another unshared detail is when GigaChat will be available for use. Sberbank did not share details about the day the artificial intelligence will be published and by whom it can be used.
