First of all, let’s talk briefly about yesterday’s qualifying rounds. As a result of qualifying, the pole position was given to Ferrari’s driver Charles Leclerc. In second place was Max Verstappen from last week’s winner, Red Bull’s, and Sergio Perez from Red Bull was in third place. Let’s also not forget that Leclerc’s pole position is a first for Ferrari in Australia after 15 years.
The third race of the season, held today, was held on a 5.2 kilometer track. The winner of the Australian GP, which was the scene of a good fight, was 24-year-old Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who started on pole position and maintained his lead. Last world champion Max Verstappen, on the other hand, left the race on the 39th lap of the race, which he started second, due to a malfunction of his car.
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez followed Leclerc, who saw the checkered flag first as the owner in the fastest lap time and reached the second place of the season and the fourth title of his career. In third place was Mercedes driver George Russell. 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton finished fourth behind Russell.
Leclerc managed to increase his score to 71 in the drivers’ classification with this first place. Leclerc is followed by George Russell with 37 points and Carlos Sainz with 33 points. In the teams’ classification, Ferrari is first with 104 points, Mercedes is second with 65 points, and Red Bull is third with 55 points.
