Charging speed of Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been announced

Charging speeds on smartphones are increasing day by day. Especially Chinese manufacturers have started to offer fast charging up to 240W on their phones. On the other hand, Samsung is often criticized for not improving the charging speeds of its smartphones. New information shows that the company will upset users regarding the charging speed of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Charging speed of Galaxy S24 series

In some previous leaks, it was said that the Galaxy S24 could increase charging speeds to 65W, but apparently this expectation will not be met. The Chinese Compulsory Certificate (CCC) records of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra show that the charging speeds remain the same. Accordingly, Galaxy S24 (SM-S9210) has 25W fast charging (9V / 2.77A) feature, similar to Galaxy S23. Galaxy S24+ (SM-S9260) and Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S9280) will be compatible with up to 45W fast charging (11V/4.05A).

So, it is almost certain that the Galaxy S24 series will not be able to charge faster than the Galaxy S23 series. All three models in the series can charge from 0-100% in approximately one hour. According to previous information, it was revealed that the Galaxy S24 had a 4,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24+ was powered by a 4,900mAh battery. Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessors.

Expected features of Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra

Depending on the country, the Galaxy S24 series seems to use the Exynos 2400 processor or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, but there is conflicting information on this subject. However, the Galaxy S24 models are expected to use a 2,500 nits OLED screen and the Galaxy S24 Ultra may have a titanium body.

Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra will have QHD+ LTPO 120Hz OLED displays, IP68 rating, stereo speakers, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and USB Type-C port. They are expected to run Android 14 out of the box. While the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ may have 12GB RAM and 256GB base storage, the Galaxy S24 Ultra may go up to 16GB RAM and 1TB or 2TB storage. They may also have two-way satellite connectivity for emergency SOS.
