Changpeng Zhao shared on Twitter on April 27 that some information about his wealth in Bloomberg’s recent financial riches list is wrong.
According to Bloomberg’s rich list, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao should be among the top three financial billionaires worldwide. However, Zhao claims to have much less wealth than is reported by some mainstream media.
Zhao: The Numbers Are All Lies
Binance CEO shared on Twitter that some information about his wealth is wrong.
Zhao shared the following statements: “The numbers are all wrong, I don’t have that much wealth. I don’t know why they did this.” Starting his post with a 4, Zhao implied that his fortune should be somewhere between Dan Gilbert’s $10.4 billion and Uday Kotak’s $13 billion.
Binance CEO also said that he never saw the bankrupt FTX exchange as a competitor.
Changpeng Zhao has repeatedly denied information from major mainstream sources such as Bloomberg and Forbes, often calling their reports FUD. In late February, the Binance CEO responded to a Forbes article alleging that Binance was moving forward with a secret move involving a $1.8 billion transaction in 2022. CZ argued that Forbes does not know how an exchange works.
Earlier, the CEO also denied a Bloomberg report that claimed Binance was considering cutting ties with its US partners.
