The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the vehicle inspection period was frozen until May in the provinces where the state of emergency was declared due to the earthquake disaster that occurred on February 6th.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was noted that the Presidential Decree regarding the vehicle inspection procedures in the provinces where the State of Emergency was declared was published in the Official Gazette.

“The validity periods of the inspections of vehicles belonging to our citizens living in provinces where a state of emergency has been declared and vehicles certified to have been in these provinces after 6 February have been extended.

As of February 6, the vehicle inspection procedures of those who have expired until the end of the state of emergency will be valid until one month after the end of the state of emergency.

Until 30 days after the end of the state of emergency, our citizens will be able to have their vehicles inspected wherever they want. During this period, the traffic fines issued on the grounds of not having an inspection will also be cancelled.
