Celsius announced that it was affected by the Customer.io email data breach.
Crypto lending platform announced that it was affected by the Customer.io data breach, which also affected OpenSea.
An employee leaked a list of customer emails to a malicious actor, according to the company.
Celsius does not consider its customers to be at high risk. However, the data breach was still referred to as a serious breach of vendor-customer relations. The company announced that it has contacted the authorities regarding the issue.
According to an update by the company, 5 Customer.io customers were more affected by OpenSea.
Customer.io said on June 30 that no Celsius data was affected. But on July 8, the company warned the company that a list of customer emails had been leaked after Celsius learned of the incident.
Customer.io also stated that no other Celsius customer’s data was intercepted by the employee.
According to Customer.io’s statement, the employee in question was a senior engineer at the company. The person was fired immediately after the incident occurred.
