The unknown visitor to Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon has been identified as a publisher named “Chancers” who lost $2.4 million in the LUNA collapse. Chancers was arrested the other day. Here are the details…
LUNA investor: I felt like I was going to die
Unidentified person visiting Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon was identified and later arrested. An AfreecaTV broadcaster dubbed “Chancers” was a desperate investor who stole the controversial executive’s home earlier this month, according to a BBC News report. As we reported as Kriptokoin.com, the publisher went to Do Kwon’s house and asked his wife about Kwon when Terra started to lose value. The social media personality has made quite a fortune after entering the digital asset space in 2017.
Chancers had invested $800,000 in LUNA. But it lost about $2.4 million after the last crash. Chancers’ statements include the following statements:
I felt I was going to die. I lost a lot of money in a short time. About $2.4 million worth of cryptocurrency was wiped out. Here in Korea, I was in the top 1 percent financially. But now I’m in trouble because of the crash.
Chancers surrendered to police station
As previously reported, South Korean law enforcement officials were attempting to identify the person who arrived at Kwon’s apartment on Thursday, May 12, and asked his wife’s whereabouts. Media reports began to circulate that police were searching for the intruder after Kwon’s wife requested protective custody. The next day, Chancers voluntarily surrendered at the Seoul police station.
The broadcaster announced that he visited Kwon’s home and even broadcast the entire episode live to around 100 people via the live broadcast platform. The investor, who said that “whether it causes a scandal rather than the problem itself in Korean culture” is important, said that he apologized to everyone as a “sinner” for this reason. He said he didn’t expect it to be this big of an event. He stated that the investigation carried out by the police is currently ongoing. At the time of writing, Terra’s native token LUNA is trading at $0.0001729.
