Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced that the Vasil hard fork update has entered its final phase.
The Vasil upgrade was originally supposed to go live on the mainnet in early June, but has been delayed several times due to technical difficulties. The road was halfway through the Vasil hard fork update recently, and Charles Hoskinson stated that it is in the final testing stages and said that he does not expect any more delays to users. In a new statement, it was stated that the hard fork defragmenter request was sent.
Cardano Continues Preparations for Vasil Hard Fork Upgrade
Charles Hoskinson announced that a hard fork defragmenter request has been successfully accepted, meaning that the Vasil hard fork implementation has now entered its final phase.
The hard fork is scheduled to be released on September 22 after months of anticipation. Hoskinson, on the other hand, announced that some of the improvements that came with the Vasil hard fork will go into effect on September 27 for various technical reasons.

Stating that Cardano’s Vasil upgrade is an automatic process, Hoskinson said:
Rocket is in the air. HFC request summitted and accepted. Vasil upgrade is underway. See you on September 22nd, 2022 pic.twitter.com/Sjs2r0vhao

Calling the Vasil upgrade special because it was named after the famous mathematician Vasil Dabov, Hoskinson also told the Cardano community to upgrade their wallets to the latest version, Daedalus 5.0.
The ambitious upgrade is expected to greatly improve Cardano’s scaling capabilities.
