Cardano founder Ethereum’ says it has done “impressive work”
Charles Hoskinson once again expressed his admiration for smart contract giant Ethereum. In a recent YouTube post, Hoskinson claims that Cardano could aspire to Ethereum’s ecosystem of scaling solutions:
Ethereum’s layer-2 ecosystem is interesting, especially with its roll-ups. There is so much magic here and I absolutely love the project. And I believe we can do better as an ecosystem…I believe there is more that can be done beyond what we’ve done. There’s a lot going on in the Ethereum space… They’re doing amazing things.
According to the Cardano developer, the second largest cryptocurrency has an active and successful community led by Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum. In part of his 2-hour side, Hoskinson made the following remarks on the Ethereum community:
If you’re intellectually honest, Ethereum has a huge community…Ethereum’s prevalence is obvious. It is clear that these people are also extremely influential. There is an attitude of problem-solving within Ethereum that is rarely seen in the rest of the cryptocurrency world. Only people who don’t whine about things or follow some kind of ideological religion really try to solve problems. And I believe this is a testament to Vitalik’s excellent leadership. A problem solver who also knows how to get things done. While there is depth and philosophy there, there is always the ‘build, build, build, build’ engineering attitude. And there’s a tremendous amount of perseverance out there that I appreciate.
The future of metaverse, NFT and oracle-focused Blockchain projects
Finally, Hoskinson states that Ethereum technology has made a significant contribution to expanding use cases beyond monetary benefit:
I think the other thing that Ethereum does really well is… As an ecosystem, they became a really successful communicator in the use of non-monetary Blockchain… Then with Ethereum, NFTs appeared. And then there are oracles and video games, among other things. All sorts of weird experiences like the Metaverse. This is pretty awesome and Ethereum was the first to do this and there is still a lot of strength and energy in this community to achieve big goals.
