Input Output developers, the company behind Cardano, said Wednesday that they want to increase the block size from 72 KB to 80 KB. This corresponds to an 11% increase in block size. The company used the following statements in its statement:

“As Cardano continues to increase network capacity as per plan, we have proposed the next parameter update. The proposal will increase the block size from 72KB to 80KB by an additional 8KB.”

An additional development has been introduced. The company said that per-process script memory units, or the amount of data that can be included in a single transaction, will increase from 12.5 million to 14 million in Cardano. Developers expect these changes to increase overall network capacity and improve the performance of applications on Cardano.
