Emurgo, a commercial venture arm of Cardano, announced today the launch of a new social media platform called Cardano Clan. However, there has been some backlash from the Cardano community.
Criticism of the New Platform from the Cardano Community
Emurgo announced the launch of its social media platform called Cardano Clan. The founding member of the Proof of staking platform encouraged the Cardano community to try the alpha version of the platform and provide feedback for the platform.
Although the established new social media platform was liked in the first place, many community members found the name of the platform “creepy” and complained. A member of the Cardano community expressed his discomfort with the name of the platform, expressing that they are not part of a clan. Another community member said it needed to be rebranded immediately before it started. According to community members, “Clan Cardano” is not a suitable choice.
Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz previously stated that Cardano is like a “strange clan” and said he was surprised to see it grow so much.
Cardano is trading at $0.55 at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data.
