Meta brings a new ‘Calls’ tab to the Messenger app. The Calls tab, which will be located in the lower function bar of the application, together with the Chats, Stories and People tab, is expected to make voice and video calls more practical.
New look in Messenger
When Messenger users wanted to make a video or audio call, they had to first find the person in the Chats tab, open their chat window, and then make the call. The new feature will make these processes much easier.
Users will now see the list of their friends with whom they can make audio or video calls via the Calls tab on the bottom function bar. Users will also be able to use the top search bar on the tab to find the people they want from the list.
TikTok offers easier viewing experience with Clear Mode
Stating that the use of voice and video calls in Messenger has increased by 40% since the beginning of 2020, Meta says that more than 300 million people make voice and video calls in the application every day.
