Recently, some vulnerabilities in the Google Chrome browser cause the company to call for an urgent update. The call made today for the Chrome desktop browser has now been made for the Android browser.
Critical vulnerability in Chrome Android browser
Google requested the Chrome Android browser to be updated to version 103.0.5060.71 in its call. While it is stated that there is a high security risk, it is stated that harmful applications may have admin privileges on devices.
Google has not yet disclosed where the vulnerability originated, and will make the necessary disclosures after the patch is widely deployed. Sources speculate that the vulnerability is related to the Web RTC component.
It is recommended that users do not skip the update because the Chrome browser cannot be uninstalled from the Android operating system. It does not come pre-installed on devices using an optimized Android operating system such as Huawei.
