Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was recently announced to have turned the internet upside down due to its download sizes, had gained great momentum as its release date approached. The studio stated in its promotions that it paid great attention to the story mode, zombies and multiplayer modes of the game during its long development period, and the game took its place in Game Pass from the first day.
According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in the last earnings announcement, Black Ops 6 has managed to become the biggest game in the series: “Last week’s launch of Black Ops 6 was the biggest launch in Call of Duty history, both in terms of the number of players on the first day and It also broke a record with Game Pass subscribers.”
In addition to being available on multiple platforms on PC, including Steam, Battle.net, and the Microsoft Store, the game has also been released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, Nadella did not share a breakdown of player numbers across platforms. Still, he said Steam and PlayStation platforms performed 60% better than last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
With game streaming now behind us, Treyarch is focusing on preparing the first season of content for Black Ops 6.
