The latest information conveyed by Insider Gaming reveals that CoD enthusiast PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users should not be in a hurry to sell their consoles.
Activision may not be considering saying goodbye to older generation consoles yet
According to the information conveyed, Activision plans to release the Call of Duty game, which will be released in 2024, with the code name Cerberus, to older generation consoles. Since there is no official statement on this subject yet, it is useful to look at these claims with suspicion, but it is underlined that there are obvious references that Cerberus will come to old generation consoles in the Acticision documents leaked in December.
So, can Call of Duty 2024 really come to older generation consoles?
We have two notable arguments before us to say “Yes” to this question:
- Call of Duty is being developed with the same game engine.
- The new generation consoles did not reach the targeted total sales.
Unless the Call of Duty series moves to a new game engine, the possibility of support for older generation consoles will continue to be strong.
