Technical features of the 13th generation Intel processors, which are expected to be introduced this year, have begun to emerge. Tipster Raichu shared the cache value of the 13th generation Intel Core i9 processors, which will be released under the codename Raptor Lake.
Unable to meet expectations in desktop processor competition, Intel will challenge AMD with the new generation Core i9 series. The Raptor Lake series, which is stated to offer PCIe Gen 5 support, will be offered to users with the LGA 1700 socket, which is also used in the 12th generation.
Intel will use 68MB cache on Raptor Lake series processors
According to leaked information, Intel 13th generation Raptor Lake processors will offer 55 percent increased cache for improved gaming performance. It is worth remembering that Intel Alder Lake processors have 30 MB of L3 and 14 MB of L2 cache.
It is estimated that the company will use 8 Golden and 16 Grace cores in the new generation Core i9 K series processors. 68 MB cache will be used in the Core i9 K series, which is stated to be introduced with 24 cores and 32 threads.
In the Intel Core i5 S series, which is called the middle segment, 6 Golden and 4 Grace cores will be used. The processor, which is expected to be introduced with a total of 14 cores, has 16 threads and 37 MB of cache.
The technical specifications of the processors that are expected to be introduced are as follows;
- Intel Core i9 K series (8 Golden + 16 Grace) = 24 cores / 32 threads / 68 MB cache
- Intel Core i7 K series (8 Golden + 8 Grace) = 16 cores / 24 threads / 54 MB cache
- Intel Core i5 K series (6 Golden + 8 Grace) = 14 cores / 20 threads / 44MB cache
- Intel Core i5 S series(6 Golden + 4 Grace) = 14 cores / 16 threads / 37 MB cache
- Intel Core i3 S series (4 Golden + 0 Grace) = 4 cores / 8 threads / 20 MB cache
- Intel Pentium S series (2 Golden + 0 Grace) = 4 cores / 4 threads / 10 MB cache
