The two biggest meme cryptocurrencies Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE) have permeated American political discourse. In a tweet, Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers says she doesn’t understand these cryptocurrencies but argues that people should be able to buy the cryptocurrencies they want.

The two popular memes talking about the cryptocurrency came after Rogers introduced a bill last week in Arizona to legalize Bitcoin. On Monday, the pro-Trump Republican, notorious for being part of the election rejection movement and making headline-grabbing provocative comments, also proposed exempting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from property taxes.

Members of the XRP community, feeling excluded, began posting XRP messages on Rogers’ Twitter account. The politician also asked his followers what XRP is. Not surprisingly, this tweet sparked another debate among Bitcoin and XRP proponents.

On-chain analyst Dylan LeClair has described XRP as a “fraud.”

Rogers is not the only right wing trying to win over cryptocurrency investors. Republican Ohio Senate candidate Josh Mandel recently acknowledged his support for the world’s largest cryptocurrency.
