Having recently stepped into the desktop GPU market with Arc Alchemist graphics cards, Intel has made great progress with the latest shared graphics drivers. So what does Arc Alchemist offer against its competitors in similar price ranges? Today Techtesters pitted the Arc A750 against the AMD RX 6600.

Intel Arc A750 compared to AMD RX6600

For those who do not know, AMD RX 6600 and Intel Arc A750 can be purchased at close prices in many markets, including our country. On the technical side, both cards with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and similar GPU core numbers come with TDP values of 132W (RX6600) and 225W (ARC A750), respectively. However, it should be noted that the ARC A750 has more FP32 cores (1792 versus 3584) and a larger memory bus.

Compared with the Ryzen 5 7600X processor in 1080p and 2K resolutions, the A750 and RX6600 offer very close performance with each other. However, we can say that the A750 Limited Edition remains 3 percent slower on average than the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 at 1080p, while the acceleration returns to Intel at 2K. Arc A750, which has higher memory bandwidth than its rival at high resolutions, offers 9 percent higher performance.

There is a different situation in power consumption values. The Intel A750 with 225W TDP consumes 167W (idle 35W) in the tests, while the RX 6600 with 132W TDP consumes up to 121W (4 to 5W at idle). Therefore, we can say that there are still problems to be solved on the Intel side.

In the total cost calculation, especially today, where energy costs are increasing, AMD RX6600 has a significant advantage compared to its rival. According to data recorded on idle and game loads, the cost of using the A750 doubles the cost of purchase in 4 years. However, it should be noted that with the resolution of power consumption problems, there may be differences in the scenario. Because the biggest difference here is the power consumption of the A750 at no load. So what do you think about this? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section.
