K-Pop group BTS, who was recently appointed as the United Nations’ Special Presidential Envoys for Future Generations and Culture, made a speech at the United Nations Headquarters for the third time.

“We are not the lost generation, we are the welcome generation”
The subject that the South Korean-based music group emphasized the most was the young people whom everyone calls the “lost generation”. Kim Namjoon, one of the members of the group, on this subject; “I heard today that people in their teens and 20s are referred to as the lost generation. They lost their way when they needed the most opportunity. But I think it would be an exaggeration to say they lost,” he said.
Another member of the group, Jung Hoseok, made the following statements in his speech; “We are not the lost generation, we are the welcome generation. So let’s join hands and work together to build a better tomorrow. Let’s do it!”
The world-famous music group took the stage with their new song “Permission to Dance”, which they released about 2 months ago, after their speech in the General Assembly Hall of the UN Headquarters.
