The British Museum, one of London’s most important history exhibition areas, announced that it is collaborating with The Sandbox (SAND), one of the metaverse altcoin projects.
Making a press release in the past hours, the museum stated that it aims to create an NFT collection thanks to the Sandbox partnership. Authorities included the following statements in the announcement:
“Our collaboration with metaverse project The Sandbox will pave the way for new and immersive experiences. We want to reflect the depth of the British Museum through our NFT collections.”
The partnership between the British Museum and SAND is not limited to the NFT collection. According to the announcement, the museum will also have a land on the metaverse universe. In the Metaverse universe, there are many important brands such as McDonalds, Adidas and Gucci.
Sebastien Boget, the inventor of the Metaverse altcoin project, praised the deal. Boget emphasized that thanks to the cooperation, users will have information about the history and artifacts of the British Museum.
SAND Price
The Sandbox’s cryptocurrency SAND did not show an extra rise after the news of the deal. SAND has gained 0.87% since the beginning of the day. The altcoin is currently trading at $0.43.
