An NFT token collector known on Twitter as Derek.eth has claimed that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has purchased an NFT. As Kriptokoin.com, we are giving the details…

Did Elon Musk buy NFT tokens?

Known as Derek.eth on Twitter and known as the NFT collector, he pointed out that the 1837 Bored Ape NFT was sold for 600 Ethereum (ETH). Sold by Derek, this piece sold for 690,420 ETH with “breast numbers”, but later reduced the price of the piece to $569. There have been theories that Bored Ape Yacht Club #1837 may have been bought by Elon Musk. Looking at the on-chain data, it turned out that NFT was sold to the buyer of moonpay eth. This was also voiced by Blockchain researcher Colin Wu. Wu Blockchain used the following statements:

Deepak.eth, a well-known NFT collector, said on Twitter that BAYC #1837 was sold for 569 ETH and was acquired by Elon Musk through a MoonPay. However, this has not yet been confirmed by Musk, who has criticized Twitter’s NFT avatar feature.

Musk criticized Twitter’s NFT move

As we previously reported, Elon Musk criticized Twitter’s move about NFT profile pictures. It had also warned Twitter management about bots and scammers under Twitter posts about NFTs and cryptocurrencies. Musk first posted a message on Twitter with a statement about NFTs saying it was annoying. After that, he argued that the social media platform should spend resources on preventing fraud rather than “this is bullshit”, citing NFTs. “Twitter is wasting engineering resources on this when crypto crooks throw a spam party on every thread!?” used the phrases.

It has been reported that Twitter has previously rolled out verified NFT profile picture features. It’s only available to paid subscribers of Twitter’s Blue service and allows them to officially verify the NFTs used for their profile pictures. Previously, anyone could copy and right-click an image and use it as a profile picture without any proof of ownership.
