BNB Smart Chain, which was hacked recently, has completed its Hard Fork as part of maintenance and development.
Having suffered a multimillion-dollar network attack, BSC momentarily shut down network operations and diagnosed the problem. Then, with the statements made, it was shared that the network was active again and the problem would be resolved. The Hard Fork on the BSC network has been successfully completed, for the safety of cryptocurrency investors and the protection of assets.
BNB Smart Chain Hard Fork Successful
Popular crypto service provider Binance’s BNB Smart Chain network is back in service. As a result of the maintenance and repair work after the attack, the network switched to the ICS23 specification.
The attack highlighted several shortcomings for the network. Improvements made within the network have been pushed to the community via GitHub. According to the GitHub post, the network has successfully migrated to v1.1.16.
This Hard Fork was a temporary emergency patch to lighten cross-chain infrastructure between Beacon Chain and Smart Chain. This will enable the cross-chain to be reactivated. It stands out as a Hard Fork version for both testnet and mainnet.
