BNB Chain will launch sidechains to increase network scalability.
According to a report by The Block, BNB Chain has confirmed that it will launch sidechains for scalability. BNB Chain Application Sidechain (BAS), which is planned to reduce cost and increase transaction speed for applications such as gaming, will host decentralized applications compatible with BNB Chain. There is no information yet on when the sidechains will be launched.
Binance spokesperson said in a statement on the subject:
“BAS is the home of developers and node operators as internal value systems for a large number of users while maintaining a close connection with BNB Chain. It is an infrastructure to help them build and run their blockchain.”
As we reported earlier, when BNB Chain was rebranded to its current name, the team announced plans to adopt large-scale applications in areas such as GameFi, SocialFi, and Metaverse.
