Recently, there has been an electric vehicle revolution in the automotive world. While many large companies are working on their new models in this field, they are considering important investment plans in the long term. One of them, BMW, is launching the BMW i7, the electric version of the 7 Series, which is positioned as the company’s top sedan car.

BMW i7 xDrive60 offers a range of up to 625 kilometers

Like many automobile companies, BMW could not remain indifferent to the world of electric cars. In order to take its place in this field, it adds an “i” to the existing 7 series and makes it electrified. In other words, BMW introduced the company’s first fully electric car, the BMW i7 xDrive60, to compete with the Mercedes EQS family.

BMW i7 xDrive60 will have a battery with a capacity of 101.7 kWh. On the other hand, the car, whose energy consumption is announced as 18.4 – 19.6 kWh/100 km, offers DC fast charging support up to 195 kW with 11 KW AC charging. Having two electric motors on the front and rear axles, the i7 can reach a range of up to 625 kilometers in optimum use.

The sedan type model, which will be released with 536 horsepower and 744 Nm torque, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km in 4.5 seconds. BMW limits the top speed of the i7 xDrive60 to 240 km/h. Another remarkable feature of the car was the “Cinema Screen System”.

The cinema screen system enables the use of platforms such as Amazon and Netflix during the journey. There is also a camera on the screen. It is aimed to attend the missed meetings with this camera via teleconference. This feature is supported by an impressive sound system provided by Bowers & Wilkins. The BMW i7 xDrive60 is expected to go on sale in Europe at the end of this year. No explanation was given about the price.
