Blue Screen Age is closing: Black screen from Microsoft
In the 24H2 Preview version of Windows 11, Microsoft has rooted the design of the error screen, known as the “Blue of Death – BSOD, which has been in front of computer users for years. Now BSOD has become a much more minimalist look with a black background, not blue.

It gained a simpler view

Details such as the sad facial expression added in 2012 and the QR code placed in 2016 were completely removed from the new design. Instead, there is only the following message on the screen:
“Your Device Ran Int A Problem and Needs to Restart (your device has faced a problem and needs to be restarted)”. In addition, the error code and the name of the file that causes the problem is shown to the user. The new design offers a simple text on a black background, unlike the old screen known for its blue background.

This change is part of Microsoft’s efforts to make the error screen more modern and user -friendly. The company wants to avoid panic, especially when users with limited technical knowledge see this screen.
