Blizzard’s Battle.net platform is known to be subject to frequent DDoS attacks. The last example of this occurred last weekend. According to reports, many users had trouble accessing many Blizzard games, including Diablo IV, over the weekend.
Problems with accessing Diablo 4 and other games
Over the past weekend, many gamers announced via social media channels that they were having trouble accessing Blizzard games. Acting on this, Blizzard Entertainments confirmed the attacks.
Stating that users may encounter unsuccessful or slow login situations as a result of DDoS attacks, Blizzard managed to solve the problem only as Sunday ended. Thus, many users were left alone with the problems at the weekend when they could spend time with the games.
Currently, Blizzard servers and games are back to normal. On the other hand, it is not clear who is behind the DDoS attack that filled Blizzard’s servers with high volumes of Internet traffic.
Blizzard, on the other hand, states that although the attacks have ended, some users may still be affected by these issues. The famous game company therefore invites users who cannot log in to follow the basic troubleshooting steps. The company believes that gamers can thus fix certain problems.
