Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro, the smartphone model produced by Xiaomi for gamers, have been officially announced. Both devices are flagship-level, and the storage in the 4S Pro model is closer to today’s computer SSDs. While Black Shark 4S has 3 different storage and 1 special edition options, 4S Pro has two options.

Both devices come with a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with FHD+, 144 Hz screen refresh rate and 720 Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, the screen touch delay of both devices is 8.3 ms. In addition, the screen brightness can go up to 1300 nits. Since it is a gaming phone, the screen of the device should be as good as its hardware. That’s why Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro displays are SGS certified for being safe for the eyes.
Both devices come with 120W fast charging support and a 4,500mAh battery. In addition, there are magnetic trigger keys on the sides of the devices, while it has symmetrical double speakers and a liquid cooling system.
The differences of the devices are revealed in their cameras and chipset. The Black Shark 4S is based on a Snapdragon 870 chip with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Black Shark 4S comes with 48 Megapixel Sony IMX582 main camera, 5 Megapixel macro camera and 8 Megapixel ultra wide angle camera.
The Black Shark 4S Pro features a Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset with UFS 3.1 storage, as well as a built-in NVME-enabled PC-grade SSD that improves read speed by 55 percent and write speed by 69 percent compared to other phones. The 4S Pro uses a 64 Megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor as the main camera, while the other camera units remain unchanged. Both devices are available in black and white color options. Only Gundam Edition has different color.
