After the trailer of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever without Chadwick Boseman, whose trailer was released recently and who passed away due to cancer, a new claim has emerged that will delight Marvel and Black Panther fans.
Although Marvel’s games (with the exception of Spider-Man) have been disasters so far (see Marvel’s Avengers), people get excited whenever a Marvel game is announced. According to a new claim, Black Panther’s game is being developed.
Allegedly, the game developed for Black Panther will be an open world game
The claim comes from Jeff Grubb, a gaming press writer. If the allegations are true, the code name of the Black Panther game currently under development is ‘Project Rainier’. According to Grubb, the new Black Panther game will be directed by former Monolith Productions (producer of Shadow of Mordor) vice president Kevin Stephens and published by EA.
The game will be a single-player project where we portray the new Black Panther, who was crowned after the previous Black Panther’s death. However, it is currently unclear whether the story of the game will be about T’Chaka and T’Challa or after T’Challa.
The game is still in the very early stages of development (if the claims are true), so it may take some time before we learn more about it. Marvel has another Wolverine project ahead of it.
