Leading global cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced that it has registered in Seychelles to aid global expansion. The exchange plans to establish more regional hubs in the future by working in a decentralized manner with regional hubs in specific decentralized, strategic markets. In order to better meet user demand and support business growth, the exchange also updated its recruitment plan with a target of 1200 employees by the first quarter of 2023 and decided to increase its workforce by 50% from its current size.
This new registration in Seychelles falls under the International Business Companies Act 2016. With registration in Seychelles, Bitget has established regional hubs in the Asian and LATAM markets and plans to strengthen its global presence with more regional hubs such as those in the Europe and Africa regions. Over the past few weeks, Bitget has taken a number of initiatives to build trust with users and the crypto industry, including launching a $5 million Builders Fund and raising its Conservation Fund to $300 million. The exchange is also accelerating its hiring plans, showing no signs of being affected by the recent turmoil.
