Bitcoin became the most searched term on Google in the United States.
Data presented by the popular SEO research and analysis company Ahrefs revealed that Americans are curious about Bitcoin, and Nevada is the most Bitcoin-savvy US state. Although former US President Donald Trump is constantly making headlines, he still ranks behind Bitcoin on the list of most searched terms in America.
Nevada Is The State With The Most Searches For Bitcoin
Bitcoin, which remains the most searched term in the United States, topped the list of previously popular terms such as Elvis Presley, Disney World, Chuck Norris, health insurance, and policy.
According to Google Trends data, Google searches for Donald Trump in the past 30 days have surpassed Bitcoin by just two days, on April 4 and 5, when news of the former president’s arrest emerged.
When comparing the search data on a state-by-state basis, Nevada was the state with the most searches for Bitcoin, followed by Miami, California and Washington.
According to Trading Browser, this data is primarily driven by lower taxes and local governments’ attempts to encourage innovation. “Nevada’s long-standing gambling interest may be a contributing factor to Bitcoin’s success and high interest,” the study said.
