The fact that the first purchase with Bitcoin is to buy a pizza may change with some documents.
Despite claims that Bitcoin was first used to buy pizza, a crypto community on Twitter flared up on May 14 with the suggestion that the world’s first real-world purchase may have been made for a JPEG, not a pizza.

Independent developer Udi Wertheimer has shared a screenshot showing the first purchase that could have been made using Bitcoin, even before the Bitcoin proponent and famous Bitcoin Pizza. The screenshot shows a transaction that took place on January 24, 2010.
I'm not sure if it has been dispelled yet but it seems like Sabunir's 500 btc was a donation rather than sale.
He posted his address for his NFT Jan 24, then posted it again in the btc logo thread on Feb 24. Feb 24 500 btc was sent, Feb 25 he thanks 2 people for donations 1/2 pic.twitter.com/6Rk9Ont9KU

An attempt was made to sell a painting for 500 Bitcoins, which was worth about $1 at the time. The screenshot states that Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto is also trying to help make the sale happen. However, there are doubts about this claim. A Tweet by Mike McDonald pointed to a screenshot showing that the Bitcoin transaction may have been a donation and the JPEG may have never actually been sold.
Wertheimer admitted that his original Tweet may have been inaccurate. He said that Sabunir had put a JPEG up for sale for 500 BTC and a month later they received the same amount of money at their address, but that 500 BTC may have been sent as a donation for a different interaction and the JPEG may never have actually been sold. This rumor followed the Bitcoin Ordinals event, and Wertheimer became a prominent advocate of Bitcoin NFTs.
