EA and BioWare’s newest game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, met with the players the other day and made a seriously good debut, receiving good scores from both critics and players.
The game, which quickly became popular, attracted attention with the positive comments it received and the number of instant players. The game reached 70,414 current players, surpassing EA’s previous record holder, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and also surpassed Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to top Steam’s bestseller list.
The game, which was stated to have made a strong debut on the console, ranked first as the most pre-ordered game before launch, especially on PlayStation 5. It currently ranks fifth among the most played games on PS5.
Steam and Metacritic reviews exceed expectations
On the review side, it has received 79% positive reviews on Steam. General opinions on social media are also positive. In Metacritic reviews, PS5 managed to get 84 points.
For BioWare, the new game of the series is important not only for the return of the Dragon Age series after a decade, but also for winning the hearts of the players after the studio’s previous productions, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, which received bad reviews. Although the game does not fully return BioWare to its former glory, it may be a sign of the studio’s rise again.
