Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has received approval from the Bank of Spain to become a virtual asset service provider through Moon Tech Spain.
Binance made the following statement on the subject:
Binance is registered by the Bank of Spain as a Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP) for its Spanish subsidiary. This will allow Binance to offer crypto-asset exchange and custody services in Spain in accordance with the central bank’s AML and CTF rules.
Finally, it will allow Binance to offer crypto-asset exchange and custody services in Spain in accordance with the requirements of the central bank’s money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) rules.
