You can now use Shiba Inu (SHIB) to pay at 90 million stores with Binance Card. Meanwhile, the largest Ukrainian supermarket will accept Bitcoin, Ripple, Cardano, Dogecoin and others with Binance Pay.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) at the service of Binance Card users
Binance has added SHIB to the list of supported cryptocurrencies for Argentina’s prepaid card. Thus, Binance Card users will now be able to use SHIB to pay at 90 million stores. It is also possible for users to earn up to 8% cryptocurrency back on their purchases. The exact percentage depends on the person’s card level.
As you follow on Kriptokoin.com, Binance launched the prepaid card in early August in partnership with the Argentine financial services company Mastercard. It started testing the waters with the beta launch of the product. Last year, several local cryptocurrency exchanges, including Lemon Cash, launched their own cryptocurrency card offerings.
It is possible to use the Binance card at all physical and online merchants that support Mastercard. Binance also made its card available in the European Economic Area (EEA) in July 2020 in partnership with global debit card issuer Swipe. Argentina became the first Latin American country to introduce such a card. The card converts multiple cryptocurrencies into fiat currencies at the point of sale. According to experts, the addition of SHIB will likely increase trader acceptance of the coin.
Binance drives crypto adoption with Varus
Varus, a top Ukrainian food chain, has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Binance. As part of the partnership, Varus will accept cryptocurrency payments. Binance announced this news in a tweet today and said:
Binance is partnering with VARUS, one of Ukraine’s largest food chains, to enable the community to enjoy seamless crypto payments with fast nationwide delivery.
According to the announcement, Varus has become the first European supermarket to accept cryptocurrency payments through Binance Pay.
Features of the payment solution
Thanks to the initiative, it is now possible for Varus customers to order food and groceries online. Also, Binance Pay will be able to pay for them using selected cryptocurrencies in their wallet. After paying with cryptocurrencies, Ukrainian customers can enjoy fast delivery to nine Ukrainian cities such as Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih, Vyshhorod, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Dnipro, Brovary, Nikopol and Pavlograd.
In the statement made by the company, Ukrainians who want to use the payment solution simply download and install the Binance application. Next, they have to login to the Varus website to select the item they want. From here, they will be able to pay with Binance Pay. Varus is the first Ukrainian supermarket to leverage Binance Pay. However, Foxtrot, a Ukrainian chain of stores, already uses Binance Pay.
To celebrate the initiative, Binance and Varus announced a giveaway for users of the solution. The campaign will run for a one-month period from September 15, 2022 to October 15, 2022. Customers who order items worth UAH 500 ($13.54) from Varus and pay with Binance Pay will receive a UAH 100 ($2.71) bonus. Binance Pay allows people to pay and receive payments with cryptocurrencies. Thus, it provides an unlimited solution in payments. Meanwhile, Binance is developing the solution.
