Binance has recruited a senior official from the UK’s regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Leading crypto-asset trading platform Binance has recruited Steven McWhirter, a senior FCA official. After nine years at FCA, McWhirter will now serve as Director of Global Regulatory Policies at Binance. In his post on LinkedIn, McWhirter said:
“During my time at FCA, I have enjoyed working with the many major regulators, firms, and global organizations who have given me an important role in policy making at such a fascinating time, I have been very fortunate to be involved in many national, European and global policy initiatives and debates, particularly regarding the financial services regulation of technology.”
