Binance promoted Kristen Hecht as chief compliance officer.

Binance promotes Kristen Hecht to Vice President of Compliance. Hecht will work with Noah Perlman, the company’s Director of Compliance, to help the firm reduce its financial crime risk.

Position changes on Binance

Kristen Hecht joined Binance as Head of Global Corporate Compliance from January this year. In his new role, he will be tasked with working with Noah Perlman, Binance’s Chief Compliance Officer, to build the company’s reputation and ensure it becomes “perfect” in regulatory compliance.

Additionally, Hecht will also be appointed as the crypto exchange’s Global Money Laundering Reporting Officer. In this role, he will manage teams of money laundering reporters, supporting the firm in complying with regulatory requirements and reducing the risk of financial crime.

Kristen Hecht said in a statement that Binance has come a long way, serving users and global financial institutions in a harmonious way. She said she hopes to create greater awareness of the crypto industry by collaborating with regulators and industry partners.

Prior to joining Binance, Kristen Hecht was Chief Compliance Officer at Meta’s now-defunct cryptocurrency wallet project Novi. With this new promotion, Binance will focus on strengthening its compliance processes and increasing cooperation with regulators.
