Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, continues its global expansion. In this regard, Binance’s Japan branch announced that it will expand its list with a new move. According to the statement, the exchange will list 13 more altcoins, increasing the total number of tokens to 47. In its statement, the stock exchange underlined that this number is the highest in the country. Binance Japan announced on Wednesday that it will add the following 13 new tokens to its list:

Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR), Near Protocol (NEAR), Optimism (OP), Immutable X (IMX), Arbitrum (ARB), The Graph (GRT), Render Token (RNDR), Decentraland (MANA), EOS (EOS), GALA (GALA), ApeCoin (APE), Klaytn (KLAY) and Lisk (LSK).

“We are moving towards our goal of offering 100 tokens in Japan!”

The Japanese arm of the giant cryptocurrency exchange announced that it plans to make these listings on November 27. Binance Japan stated that all 13 tokens are already listed on other registered exchanges in Japan. He also noted that they have been classified as eligible tokens for a simplified evaluation process by the Japan Association of Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange, the self-regulatory body in Japan. Binance Japan General Manager Takeshi Chino made the following statement on the subject:

This is another big step towards our goal of offering 100 tokens in Japan. We will continue to strive to enrich our service offerings in Japan by leveraging our global expertise and leading Blockchain ecosystem.

As you follow from Kriptokoin.com, Binance Japan launched in August following Binance’s acquisition and subsequent renaming of local licensed crypto exchange Sakura Exchange BitCoin in November 2022. Previously, the country’s financial regulator issued warnings against Binance in 2021 for operating without permission. This move marked Binance’s re-entry into Japan following these warnings. Notably, Binance’s rivals Coinbase and Kraken recently exited the Japanese market, citing market conditions.
