In the dynamic world of cryptocurrency, significant developments continue to occur that shape the landscape of altcoin projects. Coinbase, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, recently added an interesting altcoin to its roadmap for potential listings. On the other hand, listing announcements came from cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance and Kucoin. In this article, we will talk about the latest listings that attract attention. Here are the details…
Coinbase adds BONK to its roadmap
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, has added Bonk (BONK) to its roadmap for future listings, signaling its intention to explore and evaluate the altcoin for potential inclusion on its platform. Bonk made its debut in December 2022 and was initially distributed to select Solana wallet addresses. It has since grown in popularity, becoming the most prevalent dog-themed cryptocurrency on the Solana Blockchain. Bonk was introduced on the Solana network as an alternative to dog-themed altcoins on other blockchains.
Bonk currently has a significant market cap of $750 million. Coinbase’s decision to include Bonk in its listing roadmap led to a sudden increase in BONK’s price. However, this increase was short-lived, leading to a 20 percent decline at the time of writing. However, it is important to note that adding an altcoin to Coinbase’s roadmap does not guarantee its eventual listing on the platform.
