Binance made the biggest transfer of recent times with $ 2 billion Bitcoin. CEO CZ clarified the speculations made on Twitter about the transaction.

Whale watching bots detect 5 massive Binance transactions

Bitcoin set the transfer record throne with 127,351 BTC (approximately $2 billion) flowing from Binance to an anonymous wallet on November 28, 2022. On the same day, an Ethereum whale took second place with around 231,782 ETH (274 million). Hefty transactions from Binance have caused various speculations. The exchange then assured its users that all their funds were safe.

Following the above transactions, at least two more whale transactions amounting to BUSD 200,000,000 took place on November 30. Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao reports that transactions are part of audits as part of proof of reserve. CZ also urged not to get caught up in FUD.

Other transactions from Binance that followed Bitcoin included $560 million, of which 231,736 ETH ($272 million) and 231,782 ETH ($274 million). Miners charged $1.32 and $2.51 for this transaction. In both transactions, the source and destination addresses remain mysterious. The crypto Twitter community speculated that the first transaction could involve Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Earlier this year, Buterin sold 3,000 ETH on Uniswap V3 shortly after FTX’s bankruptcy.

What fueled the speculation was that Buterin had removed 30,000 ETH from his own wallet in May 2022. This led to speculation that Ethereum would collapse later. However, it turned out that the funds transferred were reserved for charitable donations.

XRP transactions

The fifth transaction was the transfer of 500,000,000 XRP ($204 million) from an escrow wallet to an unknown address on December 1, 2022. In 2018, Ripple launched an initiative to release 1,000,000,000 XRP through an escrow at the beginning of each month to create a predictable supply of XRP.

Accordingly, 500,000,000 XRP transfers were followed by 400 million and 100 million token transfers to unlock 1,000,000,000 XRP for December 2022. In the past, Ripple held 800,000,000 XRP and chose to lock the remaining 200,000,000 XRP for a new release.
