Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that the BNB Chain network has been discontinued.
For the past few hours, there have been rumors on Twitter that BNB Chain is under attack and millions of dollars in BNB have been stolen.
Following the speculation, Binance made a small announcement on its official Twitter account.
Binance announced the temporary suspension of BNB Chain:
“BNB Chain is currently under maintenance.
We will temporarily suspend all deposits and withdrawals through BNB Chain until further updates are available.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for your patience”

BNB Chain said that they have detected a potential hacking attempt, noting that all funds are safe.
“We suspended BSC after detecting a potential exploit.
All systems are now under control and we are investigating the potential vulnerability immediately.
All funds are safe”
