Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of trading volume, has made new announcements for various altcoins. The exchange will support some integrations, according to its announcements. Also, several trading pairs become active on the exchange. Here are the details…
Binance supports Optimism Network integration with Synthetix (SNX)
The exchange has completed the integration of Synthetix (SNX) into the Optimism network. So, deposits and withdrawals for Synthetix (SNX) are now open on the Optimism network. As we have reported as Kriptokoin.com, several protocols have integrated Synthetix on Optimism before. Optimism is a layer-2 solution suitable for high volume and fast trading. Synthetix was one of the first protocols to announce that it will use Optimism L2 as a solution to increase use cases.
Synthetix is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that provides on-chain exposure to a wide variety of crypto and non-crypto assets. The protocol is based on the Ethereum (ETH) Blockchain and gives users access to highly liquid synthetic assets (synths). Synths track and provide returns on the underlying asset without the need for someone to hold the asset directly. The platform aims to expand the cryptocurrency space by introducing non-blockchain assets, providing access to a more robust financial market. The network was launched by Kain Warwick in September 2017 under the name Havven (HAV).
At the time of writing, SNX is changing hands at $2.29, down 0.9 percent. The cryptocurrency has seen a 7.6 percent increase in value over the past seven days. However, the coin is trading as much as 92 percent below its all-time high of $28.53 recorded on February 14, 2021. On the other hand, Optmism’s OP token is changing hands at $0.73, up 2.8 percent. The coin is 66.7% below its record of $2.21 on August 4.
Exchange adds new trading pairs
On the other hand, the exchange announced that it will open transactions for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance USD coins as well as Polish Zloty (PLN) pair on October 19, 2022, at 9 pm. So, starting at 09:00 tomorrow, you can trade with BTC/PLN, ETH/PLN and BUSD/PLN trading pairs.
The exchange also made another listing announcement.
Meanwhile, as Cryptokoin.com reported in the morning, the exchange announced that it would list Aptos (APT). Dubbed by many as a potential “Solana killer,” Aptos is the latest high-profile attempt to build the perfect blockchain to support the expanding world of smart contracts, NFTs, DAOs, and DeFi. There seems to be an increased interest in layer-1 networks in general. Binance is also trying to meet this interest.
