Many people already know that Microsoft founder Bill Gates has been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 for a while. But now, it looks like Gates has changed his phone. The famous name announced that Samsung has now switched to a newer phone.
In a new Reddit AMA (Ask What You Want) session, Bill Gates announced that he has started using the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which Samsung President Lee Jae-Yong gifted him during his last visit to Korea. As you can imagine, Gates’ daily phone usage includes various Microsoft apps and Outlook installed on the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The fact that Galaxy Z Fold devices can turn into a tablet on demand eliminates the need for Gates to use a special tablet. This advantage can be said to be the main advantage of Samsung’s premium foldable product line.
It may come as a surprise to some that Bill Gates uses a Samsung smartphone, even though Microsoft has produced an Android phone (Surface Duo). In fact, we can safely say that this is not so surprising. When Satya Nadella took over as Microsoft CEO in 2014, the company shifted its focus from hardware to software services that run on all popular operating systems, including Android. This caused the Surface Duo to appear as a device that could not meet expectations.
Microsoft also has a partnership that allows Samsung’s smartphones to come preloaded with a variety of Microsoft apps.
