Free money, who doesn’t like it? Airdrops are almost similar to this concept. Of all cryptocurrencies, it’s probably the closest thing to free money. Generally, the rewards will be large enough to warrant the investment. So, what major airdrop opportunities are ahead of us now? Here are the major airdrops pointed out by Altcoin Buzz analyst Camille Lemmens…
There are airdrop opportunities for many cryptocurrencies
Analyst Camille Lemmens discusses the latest airdrops with key prizes. These airdrops include Aptos, which offers prizes between $1,000 and $5,000, Arbitrum, which offers prizes between $600 and $50,000, and Optimism, which offers between $540 and $36,500. Although these two airdrops only cover a third of the budget allocated, it is clear that a third drop is imminent. Airdrops have proven to be quite profitable, and the analyst is now highlighting two additional crypto airdrops that individuals should be aware of.
The first airdrop is zkSync. Similar to the way Arbitrum calculates airdrop rewards, interacting with various protocols and moving larger amounts of money increases the chances of getting a higher airdrop allocation. TaskOn offers five zkSync-related tasks, from simple actions like following a Twitter account or joining a Discord channel to more complex ones like building a bridge. Missions will only be available for one or two more days and will end on July 1. One of the tasks involved following and retweeting SyncSwap on Twitter and joining Discord servers. The other two tasks require following TaskOn on two different Twitter accounts and joining their Discord channels. To qualify for the Airdrop, individuals must also exchange $10 on SyncSwap using the Celer Bridge.
What other tasks need to be completed?
It is recommended to use the BNB chain for low gas fees. To facilitate the exchange, a minimum of 20 USDC worth of bridges must be built using the Celer Bridge. Camille explains the process that involves getting 20 USDC from any exchange, sending it to an EVM compatible wallet like MetaMask, and using the Celer Bridge to transfer funds to zkSync Era. After the exchange of 10 USDC for another cryptocurrency such as ETH is completed, the remaining 10 USDC can be used for other tasks. The total cost for bridging is about $1.5.
It also offers tasks related to TaskOn, Orbiter and Rhino.fi. Orbiter requires completing social media tasks and bridging at least 0.005ETH from any chain to zkSync Era before 1st July. Rhino.fi tasks include the completion of six social media tasks and token transfers to/from zkSync via Rhino before June 27. Another convenient method is to register a domain name using zkSync Name Service or purchase zk tokens; both options cost about $6-7 for a one-year period.
Polygon zkEVM airdrop also available
Moving on to the second choice, Camille Lemmens Polygon introduces zkEVM. Polygon released zkEVM mainnet L2 in May 2023. This new layer 2 solution uses zero-knowledge proofs, allowing users to prove something without revealing sensitive information. The functions in zkEVM, including code, tools, and applications, are similar to Ethereum, but with lower transaction costs and higher scalability. While Polygon is a side-chain, zkEVM is built directly on top of Ethereum, making it EVM compatible.
Analyst discusses potential airdrop associated with Polygon zkEVM. While Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal talks about the possibility of a large airdrop, Camille takes a more cautious approach and sees it as a possible airdrop. To participate in the Airdrop, individuals must add the Polygon zkEVM network to their EVM compatible network. The native bridge costs 0.003 ETH (about $5.65), while the Orbiter bridge costs $0.5 and offers a 60% to 70% refund. Using the Orbiter bridge can also qualify individuals for a future Orbital airdrop, and the process is significantly faster than the local bridge.
After choosing the Orbiter Bridge, users can start using their funds. QuickSwap is currently the only app available in mainnet Beta. Regular interaction with the chain or wallet, which includes activities such as clearing, liquidity provision, and farming, is very important. Camille Lemmens talks step-by-step about her experience transferring MATIC and wETH to MetaMask wallets, making trades, and any minor issues they encountered along the way. Patience is recommended due to the potential limitations of the beta version. Alternatively, users can join the wETH/MATIC pool for greater exposure.
