The test flight images of Bayraktar Vertical Take-off Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (Bayraktar DİHA), which are under development by Baykar Teknoloji, have been shared. Bayraktar DİHA is planned to start mass production this year.
Bayraktar DİHA, as the name suggests, can take off and land vertically and thus does not need a runway. It can be used in areas where there is no flight track and its operational capability is narrow. It takes off vertically in an area of 20 by 20 meters.
Bayraktar DİHA to be used in observation missions
Bayraktar DİHA, designed for reconnaissance and intelligence missions, will be in the tactical UAV class. It coordinates the troops on the ground with the day camera, thermal camera, laser pointer and rangefinder on it.
Base station feature added to Aksungur UAV
12 hours Bayraktar DİHA, which has a communication range of up to 150 kilometers and a flight time of 12 hours, has a hybrid engine structure. It takes off and takes off with an electric motor, and it travels in the air with an internal combustion engine. In this way, it achieves longer flight times compared to electric aircraft. It has a useful load capacity of 5 kilograms and a take-off weight of 50 kilograms. It will perform its operations at an altitude of 9,000 feet, but it can go up to 15,000 feet. It sails between 45-50 knots.
