Fans of the Emmy-winning Apple TV Plus series Ted Lasso starring Jason Sudeikis will remember a fictional dating app called Bantr that we saw in episodes of the second season. According to the new news, this application is now becoming a reality.

In the blog post published by the Bumble team, an online dating application developed for iOS and Android platforms, it was announced that they will try a variation of this application. The name of the application will be Bantr Live.

What is the Bantr app?

In the series, Bantr is an application that allows flirts to chat without seeing each other’s photos. Bumble’s version of Bantr Live will work similarly. Users will be able to log in to this application at 19:00 local time every Thursday from 13 October until the end of the year, and they will be matched with another person based on features such as age and location. They will have 3 minutes to chat. When this time is up, they will be asked if they want to match with that person. They will also be able to choose to pair with someone else. If they match, they’ll eventually be able to see each other’s full profiles.

Bantr Live looks like it will be an interesting application indeed. The application is expected to be especially popular with the fans of the series.
