Former US President Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, had recently taken its place on the App Store. Having experienced technical errors from the first day and keeping more than 500 thousand users on hold, Truth Social is criticized for being exactly the same as Twitter with its interface and features.
His calls, which led to a congressional raid by provoking his supporters after he lost the US presidential election in 2020, led to the banning of Donald Trump from all social media, including YouTube and Twitter. Truth Social, which has been under development for about a year, was founded with the claim of being a freer platform.
Account mocking Truth Social CEO has been banned
Web developer Matt Ortega shared the censorship that happened to him while signing up for the social media app on his Twitter account. Ortega opened an account as @DevinNunesCow (cow stands for cow) using the name of Devin Nunes, CEO of Truth Social’s parent company Trump Media & Technology Group and former US Congressman.
To react to Devin Nunes owning a family farm @DevinNunesCow, a parody of the Twitter account @DevinCow, has been banned from Truth Social. Matt Ortega stated in his statement that he did not share anything on Truth Social before his account was closed. Because his profile was on the waiting list and was not even activated.
Matt Ortega, who shared the e-mail sent to him by Truth Social on his Twitter account, said, “This is censorship.” added the note. “After careful review, we have decided to permanently delete your account for violating Truth Social’s community guidelines,” the email sent to the developer states.

It’s actually obvious why the account was banned. Truth Social’s terms of service state that “You agree not to disparage, tarnish or otherwise harm us and/or the Site”. Since every user who registers on the platform automatically accepts this, they will be banned if they do otherwise.
