The Central Bank of Bahrain has announced its partnership with EazyPay and Binance to pay with Bitcoin (BTC).
Bahrain, which is welcoming to cryptocurrencies, has recently started testing the Bitcoin payment method through financial services used by central banks. The bank announced that crypto money payments can be made with approximately 5 thousand POS and online payment methods.
Bahrain Forms Partnerships for Bitcoin Payment Method
According to a statement by Nayef Al-Alawi, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, online payment platform EazyPay has been approved to launch cryptocurrency and Bitcoin payments in the country.
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has taken this opportunity and announced that it has partnered with EazyPay. In Bahrain, it enabled more than 5,000 outlets to use cryptocurrencies as a payment method.
Large companies across the country such as Lulu Hypermarket, Sharaf DG, Al Zain Jewelry and Jasmis will be able to accept more than 70 cryptocurrencies with the help of Binance and Eazys POS.
Not wanting to be deprived of the future of cryptocurrencies, Bahrain has also taken its first steps through the Central Bank. The country, which previously wanted to ensure the recognition of cryptocurrencies in people, had prepared the ground with its various infrastructure works.
