Although Samsung managed to maintain its leadership in the global smartphone market in the third quarter of 2021, this situation is different in India. In India, one of the world’s biggest pillars in the smartphone market, the seat changed once again and Samsung could not take the lead from its arch-rival Xiaomi in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
According to the figures announced by the Canalys analyst company, Xiaomi did not leave the leadership in India to Samsung. Accordingly, Xiaomi sold 11.2 million products in the Indian market in the third quarter, while Samsung remained at 9.1 million. Accordingly, Xiaomi holds the Indian market share with 24 percent, while Samsung follows it with 19 percent. This duo is followed by vivo, Realme and OPPO.
But on the other hand, looking at the annual growth figures, it is observed that all brands are experiencing losses. Accordingly, Xiaomi lost 14 percent, while Samsung lost 10 percent.
