Redmi’s latest K series smartphones, the Redmi K50 series, will be introduced next month. This series will use multiple processors including Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 9000 and Dimensity 8000.
According to a Weibo leak that has emerged, the general shipment of Dimensity will be delayed. This means that models with Snapdragon processors will become widespread faster.
Redmi K50 series will be delayed
The regular Redmi K50 will use the Snapdragon 870 processor, while the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen1. A Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+ model is also expected, which should use the Dimensity 8000 and 9000 processors, respectively.
With the Dimensity 9000 processor, the Redmi K50 Pro+ will be the flagship of the series. This series will feature a 2K high refresh rate display and will support up to 120W fast charging.
Redmi K50 series gets TENAA, Geekbench AND 3C certifications
A new Redmi smartphone bearing the model number 21121210C has appeared on TENAA, Geekbench and 3C certification websites. The phone uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 as a processor and offers 120W charging support. According to MySmartPrice, these specs suggest that the recently spotted device could be the Redmi K50 Pro. The Redmi 21121210C scored 1226 and 3726 in the single-core and multi-core tests of the Geekbench 5 test.
Also, the Geekbench listing showed that the phone will use an octa-core processor codenamed Taro. This processor will have 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration and will run with a maximum clock frequency of 3.0 GHz. When we look at these leaks, it seems that the Redmi 21121210C may come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
Apart from that, the Redmi 21121210C recently received an important 3C certification. The 3C listing points to 120W fast charging support. Also, the Geekbench listing points to the availability of 12GB of RAM. In addition, it is almost certain that the phone will come with the Android 12 operating system. The charging capabilities and the processor powering the Redmi 21121210C show that the device may come out with the highly anticipated Redmi K50 Pro name.
