CD Projekt Red continues to develop a next-gen upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3. The company, which disappointed its fans especially with the release of Cyberpunk 2077, seems to upset its fans again. Bad news came from the productions trying to prepare for the next generation game world.
The company announced on Twitter that the updates were delayed. While the reason for the postponement, which has not been given a clear date, has not been fully disclosed, some fans have taken the situation quite normal, alludingly.
Next-gen Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 will be released in 2022
CD Projekt Red, which issued an apology message to its fans, stated that they wanted to use the intensity in the most correct way. The studio, which wants to present the updates in a trouble-free order, included the following in its statement:
Dear friends,
We have some very important next-gen updates planned for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In line with the recommendations of our team involved in the games, we have postponed the upgrades prepared for both productions until 2022.
Our first goal is to deliver the planned update for Cyberpunk 2077 in the first quarter of 2022. Right after that, we’ll have The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt upgrade ready in Q2.
We want to do this in the most correct way.
Cyberpunk 2077 marks the end of March 2022 at the latest, while The Witcher 3 fans will have to wait a little longer. Although the delay annoyed the fans, some players stated that they got used to this behavior of CD Projekt Red. Especially what happened during the release process of Cyberpunk 2077 shook the trust in the company.
The update, which will be released for free for new generation consoles, will also come to PC players. Productions, which are planned to look more modern in terms of graphics, will also have certain bug fixes. Future repairs, especially for Cyberpunk 2077, are very curious. Because the production, despite the many updates it has received since its release, can cause problems in some issues. Let’s see if CD Projekt Red, which will be more controlled while launching products, will be able to win the hearts of the players.
